PA Cyber Supported Marine Toys for Tots Program for Tenth Year
Dec 5, 2022
Employees at the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School proudly supported the Marine Toys for Tots program for yet another year. The school’s staff collected unwrapped toys and monetary donations at several PA Cyber offices throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. On December 1, staff delivered toys totaling in value of $500 to 96.1 KISS FM’s Stuff-A-Bus event at the Robinson Towne Center where they helped fill Bus #33 with toys. A total of 66 buses were then driven to the Marine Corps Reserve Center in North Versailles.
“Over the last 10 years, we’ve collected hundreds of toys for local children,” said Lindsay Kostyak, an academic advisor at PA Cyber. “I’m so proud to be a part of this initiative and thankful for all of PA Cyber for pitching in time, money, and toys to make this successful each year.”
Beth Wetzel, who has been assisting with the initiative for nine years, said, “This is one of my favorite parts of my job.” She is an English Language Development Program Coordinator with the school.
Addison Dougherty, a tenth grader at PA Cyber, helped load toys onto a bus for a second year. “I love getting to feel like I’m part of something important,” she said.
The 2022 holiday season marks the 75th anniversary of the Marine Toys for Tots program.
