Title I Coaching Program
Title 1 coaching program, authorized by the No Child Left Behind Act, strives to provide a bridge for students who are lagging behind in reading and math development. Students in the program will be assessed by a Title I team that includes specialists in the field of reading and math. The framework for targeting and identifying students for this program begins with the development of a personal, prescriptive plan designed to meet students’ needs. The individual attention provided by the coach provides students with effective strategies to aid their reading and math development. As this evolving plan progresses, constant and persistent adjustments will be made to ensure student proficiency. The coach, along with the Title I team, can plan an individualized curriculum that will meet the needs of students while helping them realize success.
Students serviced under Title I will be closely monitored by the Title I team to ensure continued progress. PA Cyber works closely with state standards so parents can be assured that their child is meeting all necessary requirements. Every four to six weeks, students will complete an assessment to measure their improvements as well as their ongoing needs. Coaching sessions are provided at the conveniences of both parents and students. The coach will work directly with parents to set a schedule that will be most convenient for them and their children.
