A nationally recognized leader in the reform and innovation of public education, Dr. Nick Trombetta is the CEO of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, the premier online K-12 public charter school for students and their families in combining the best technology, personal instruction and approved curriculum with highly qualified teachers.
The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School opened for the 2000-2001 academic year with just over 500 students. Today, PA Cyber serves nearly 9,000 K-12 students across the State of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Trombetta is also founder of the National Network of Digital Schools (NNDS), Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School and Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. NNDS is a management foundation which offers services that enable schools to respond to the unique demands of 21st century learners. Lincoln Park Center is a regional asset for culture and entertainment. It is the facility which hosts Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, a 550-student school providing a state-certified academic program for grades 8-12 and preprofessional training in music, dance, theater, media arts and creative writing.
Dr. Trombetta previously served as Superintendent of the Midland Borough School District and was a teacher and highly successful high school wrestling coach at East Liverpool (Ohio) High School.
Dr. Trombetta is an alumnus of Quigley Catholic High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Slippery Rock State University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Dayton, and doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.
