To operate a public school known as The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School
Pursuant to the authority voted in the Board of School Directors of the Midland School District under the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, and the Act 22 of 1997 (Charter Schools Act), the Board of Trustees of The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School is hereby granted a Charter to operate a public charter school located at 173 Seventh Street, Midland, Pennsylvania, for the period commencing on July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2005. The grant of this charter was approved by a vote of the Board of School Directors at a public meeting on Thursday October 7, 1999.
It is specifically understood and agreed between the signatories hereto that:
the Board of Trustees shall operate the charter school in accordance with the provisions of Act 22 of 1997 (Charter Schools Act), any amendments thereto enacted during the term of this charter and any regulations or standards applicable to charter schools; the granted of this charter is specifically contingent upon operation of the charter school in strict adherence to the terms of the application submitted by the Board of Trustees and approved by the Board of School Directors or the State Charter School Appeal Board. Said application is attached hereto as Appendix A and is incorporated herein by reference as is fully set forth; this Charter and the Appendix hereto constitute a legally binding agreement for the term set fourth above and the terms of said agreement cannot be changed absent in a written amendment to this charter, this charter may be renewed for additional periods of five (5) years duration and upon any such renewal, a new charter shall be executed by the parties; and this charter can only be terminated in accordance with the provisions of applicable law. WHEREFORE, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound hereby set their hands this 7th day of day of October, 1999:
